The Learn to Swim Stream is composed of WATER BABIES, WATER SKILLS, LEARN To SWIM, STROKE DEVELOPMENT I and STROKE DEVELOPMENT II.

Water Babies

Water Babies classes have an emphasis on safety as well as teaching breath control and confidence in the water, both for baby and carer! During Baby Classes you will learn some great songs, how to help Bub learn how to get back to the side, how to happily and safely immerse and basic swimming skills such as head and body position and kicking.

Baby Classes are a fun way to start your little one off with a love of swimming and a safe approach to the water, starting at 6 months of age.

Learn to Swim

The Gatton Swim School has a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Our teachers strive to meet your family’s needs, answer your questions and address your concerns. All children undergo an assessment to determine their skills prior to commencing classes. Independent classwork begins at around 3 years of age with Water Skills. Children ages 0-5 must be at arms reach of a parent/guardian at all times. Lifeguards are an important safety feature but do not replace adult supervision.

Squad Training

Coaches will continue to focus on all aspects of race preparation as they extend the swimmer's knowledge of swimming. This may include stretching, nutrition, warm ups, cool downs, dry land training, stroke specific technique, race planning and strategies. Swimmers will not only learn to compete, but how to be a team player and a good competitor. Children under 10 must be supervised by an adult. Lifeguards are an important safety feature but do not replace adult supervision.

The Gatton Swim Center also offer adult fitness classes.
